While Mike has been signwriting for over 30 years (waaay back in the brush and paint days), Vital Signs has been a proud 100% Southland owned & operated business since 2001. Mike is committed to passing on the knowledge he has gained to the next generation and so far has had 4 apprentices become qualified signwriters.

Not only do we love what we do, we strive to do it well with the latest and greatest equipment available.

Making other Southland business thrive through design and advertising is our goal and we love to have fun and a laugh while we are at it.

CNC Router

With this we are able to create 3D lettering up to 3600mm. We can cut out of many substrates including Multi-board, plywood, natural timber, ACM, acrylic and more.

This machine has many application and we often create folded building cladding for builders and architects as well as our own signage.

Mimaki Flatbed Printer

This handy bit of kit allows us to print directly onto substrate - rather than printing onto vinyl them applying it to the substrate. The flat bed helps us print hundreds of real estate signs every month along with tradie site signs, wedding signage, temporary core flute signs and many other specialty items.

This printer can print white ink along with full colour printing.

HP Latex wide format
Mimaki UV wide format

These two printers are our main work horses. Doing much of the heavy lifting for us to bring our designs to life. From small die cut stickers to huge print drops.

The HP Latex offers scratch resistant inks while the Mimaki UV can print white ink.

Friday: 8am - 4.30pm
